Our Mission
Authorized Sword Ministries exists to equip Christians with the tools they need to grow in their faith and live a successful Christian life. We have a special heart for fathers and mothers, to help them grow as God intends and become the parents their children need. But this ministry is for everyone. Whether you’re a man or a woman, a new believer or walking with the Lord for years, our goal is to help you grow spiritually, stand strong in your faith, and find your place in life through the truth of God’s Word.
What Authorized Sword Means
Our name comes from two places.
“Authorized” points to the Authorized Version — the King James Bible of 1611 — which we use for all our teaching and study.
“Sword” comes from the way the scriptures describe themselves. The Word of God is the believer’s weapon in spiritual battle:
“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:” — Ephesians 6:17 (KJV)
We teach using Christian apologetics — giving clear, thoughtful reasons for what we believe — always grounded in what the scripture actually says.
“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:” — 1 Peter 3:15 (KJV)
My Testimony
I started going to church around age eleven, but I was a troubled kid. I was always in trouble at school. During my first year of high school, I got kicked out of Mrs. Barbara Foster's class after getting into an altercation. I wasn't a good student, and I was headed down the wrong path.
At sixteen, I gave my life to Jesus Christ and was saved. Not long after, I ran into Mrs. Foster in the hallway. I apologized and promised her that if I was ever her student again, she would never have another problem out of me, because Christ had changed me. She was skeptical. She didn't believe me.
The next year, I was in her class again, and I was a straight-A student.
Right before graduation, Mrs. Foster stopped me in the hallway with tears in her eyes. She hugged me, and her mascara ended up on my shirt. She told me that when she first had me as a student, she never thought someone like me would change. She expected my life to go down a path of destruction. When I told her I'd been saved, she didn't believe it. But then, she said, she watched a miracle happen. She saw God transform my life, and she was proud of the young man I had become.
That's my testimony: I was a troubled young man until I gave my life to Christ, and the transformation that followed is living proof that God can change anyone.
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." - 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
